Power Gridlock

Recent photos
Marks of the natural growth (climbing vines) and of  and of the man-made (power stations).
found on my travels around my hometown.

Power Station (Left)   vs. Metropolitan School Administration Building (Right)

I wish the public school system were as strong as the smallest roots and tendrils of the vines that attach themselves to the facade of the stone building. Ironically, the Cleveland Public School system is in dire straits these days.

  2. curiously it seemed to me that Berlin [Germany] is in much the same boat...parks and gardens all overgrown and unmown, roses climbing through everything, seeming as though some magical wild forest was poised to take back the city...

  3. Things are rough in Akron too. So many parents just don't get involved anymore.

  4. I know, I'm glad I went to school in the 60's and 70's. I have no answers and no children of my own, so I cannot imagine how difficult it is to educate children who live in the city these days.
